Since inception in 2018, the IAHD Scholarship Fund has awarded $47,000 to help deserving Idaho students from predominantly underserved rural areas receive a college or trade school education.
The 2021 online auction will begin on November 2nd and continue until November 9th at 3:00 p.m. (MT). Bidding is open to all highway district personnel, local road professionals, vendors, partners, and friends. Every donation and purchase is considered charitable giving and will help students afford the ever-growing price of college and vocational training.
On November 9th at 3:00 p.m., we will be streaming the raffle drawing on Facebook live to see who are the lucky winners of the pistol, shotgun, and $300 gift card that are available for raffle. Follow us on Facebook to be notified when we go live.
All members are encouraged to join us virtually for the 2021 IAHD Annual Business Meeting. Please check your email for the meeting packet and link to join the virtual meeting. If you haven't received the material, you may reach out to your highway district clerk or Savannah at savannah@iahd.com.

Join us for an hour-long workshop that will help you prepare for your financial audit this winter. Following the tips and tricks outlined in this workshop will help you go into your highway district audit with confidence and a better understanding of the process. All highway district clerks, treasurers, administrators, and interested personnel are encouraged to register for this workshop.
About the speaker: Mary W. Richter, CPA, is a consulting CPA to governmental agencies, including highway districts. She assists governments in closing the fiscal year, accruals, and GASB adjustments, audit preparation, Board of Commissioners and staff training, and is an all-around accounting resource for governments. As a former governmental auditor, she is a natural liaison between governmental agencies and their auditors.

This workshop will provide detailed instructions and insight to efficiently complete the annual Road and Street Financial Report before the December 31, 2021 deadline. Additionally, any budgeting questions will be answered by the speaker, Stephen Freiburger, PE. All highway district clerks, administrators, treasurers, and interested personnel are encouraged to register for this workshop.
Please come prepared with specific questions related to the Road and Street Financial Report and your budget. Alternatively, you may send questions to savannah@iahd.com to have them answered during the workshop.
About the speaker: With over 33 years of experience serving as the engineer for numerous highway districts throughout the state, Mr. Freiburger is accustomed to tracking revenue, past expenses, and future projects/expenses. His wealth knowledge has led him to teach numerous budgeting and report workshops for local highway jurisdictions.

This workshop is designed to explain the new accounting and transparency processes are being phased in after the passage of HB 73 during the 2021 legislative session. Representatives from the State Controller's Office will begin with a short overview and include what is within the scope of phase 1 and phase 2 of the project, what changes/lack thereof highway districts will see, as well as the long-term vision for a central registry. Following the overview, the workshop will open up for a discussion and Q&A time. All highway district clerks, treasurers, and interested personnel are encouraged to register for this workshop.
About the speakers: Representatives from the State of Idaho Controller's Office have been speaking with with counties and cities who will be impacted first by the new law. They will be sharing their knowledge and experience with the audience and look forward to answering all questions.
